Rose Wageman, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer

Rose has worked with the Salk family for over twenty five years, beginning her banking career as a management trainee with River Oaks Bank in Calumet City, IL. In 1991 Rose joined First Eagle Bank. Today, Rose has overall responsibility for the Loan Department, including commercial lending, consumer lending, compliance, credit administration, and interfacing with regulators.  In 2012 she was elected to the Board of Directors.

Rose volunteers as a counselor with SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. She is also a member of the CREW Network, the industry's premier business networking organization dedicated to supporting the achievements of women in commercial real estate.

   

Zachary Braun, Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending

Zachary began his banking career with First Eagle Bank in 2002 as a Credit Analyst and has steadily grown and taken on more responsibility at the bank. He is currently a Senior Vice President and responsible for a large commercial portfolio. Prior to joining the bank, Zachary was a Commercial Real Estate Broker handling leasing and sales assignments on the behalf of clients.

Zachary obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from DePaul University with a dual concentration in Finance and Real Estate Investment & Finance. He is a board member of the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs and is a licensed Real Estate Broker.

   

Rick Burns, Senior Vice President, Commercial Leasing

Rick began his banking career as a part-time Teller while he was in college. Since the mid-1980's he has specialized in Commercial Equipment Leasing Finance. Rick joined First Eagle Bank in 2003 where he concentrates on developing and maintaining long-term relationships with Commercial Leasing clients throughout the country.

Rick shares his expertise with Chicago's A Safe Haven Foundation. A Safe Haven Foundation is a social business enterprise that empowers families and individuals experiencing homelessness or crisis to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency. Rick volunteers his time to help with the financing of properties the Foundation acquires. Rick is also active in the Salvation Army's "Ways to Work" lending program and is a member of their Loan Committee. Ways to Work is the nation's largest and most successful alternative to predatory auto loans for working poor families.

   

Jay Fahn, Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending

Jay started his banking career with a multinational bank and served assignments in Kenya, South Africa, Zambia and South Korea before coming to Chicago where he worked in capital markets and later with middle market companies. He then transitioned to community banking before joining First Eagle Bank in January 2007.  

Jay currently serves on a grant making committee at the Chicago Foundation for Women focused on promoting economic self-sufficiency for working female heads-of-households. He has been active in numerous community and civic organizations throughout his career focusing on education, conservation, culture, housing and public safety. 

   

Roger Kieffer, Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending

Roger started his banking career with Harris Trust and Savings Bank and worked in various lending divisions that included financial institutions, insurance companies and middle market lending. In 1984 he left Harris to join Lane Financial, Inc. as the senior lender at Pioneer Bank, one of their five community banks, and subsequently moved to chief credit officer for the group. Lane was subsequently acquired by LaSalle Bank where he stayed until joining the Metropolitan Bank Group in 1989. At Metropolitan, he served as a bank president and as chief credit officer while the group expanded from four to twelve community banks. He recently joined First Eagle to continue his focus on community banking.

Roger obtained his undergraduate degree at Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin. He has been involved in various outside activities which have included serving as President of the Marquette Club of Chicago as well as participating in several not-for-profit boards.

   

Gene Khalimsky, Vice President, Commercial Lending

Gene began his banking career in 1996. Since that time he has become well versed in all aspects of banking including personal banking, branch management, consumer and commercial lending. He has worked at a large national bank, was Vice President of a De Novo Bank and most recently, he managed a large commercial loan portfolio of multifamily, C&I and SBA loans. Gene joined First Eagle Bank in 2013 and is excited to be a part of a team that is passionate about relationship banking.  

Gene holds a Bachelors Degree of Science in Finance/International Business from Elmhurst College. Gene is also fluent in Russian.

   

Faruk Daudbasic, Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending

Faruk began his career at First Eagle Bank as an intern while he was a student at Northeastern Illinois University. Upon graduation in 2005, he became a full time Credit Analyst and was soon promoted to a Lending Officer. Today Faruk is an Assistant Vice President, and is responsible for a large commercial loan portfolio.

Additionally Faruk serves as First Eagle Bank's liaison to its community development activities and has become a well recognized and respected member of the community development world. He has been instrumental in spearheading First Eagle Bank's CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution) efforts. He serves on the Board of Directors of Facing Forward to End Homelessness, he is on the Host Committee of NHS (Neighborhood Housing Services) Community Banks Partnership, and a member of the CIC 1-4 Unit Rental Redevelopment Loan Committee.

Faruk obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Roosevelt University in Finance and Real Estate and is an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern Illinois University, teaching Real Estate Finance. Faruk is also fluent in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian.

   

Zach Goldman, Commercial Lending Officer

Zach began his banking career in 2010 as a credit analyst with First Midwest Bank in their relationship manager training program. While there, his main focus was working with middle market commercial and real estate clients. Zach joined First Eagle Bank in 2012 as his passion lies with working in a more entrepreneurial environment.

Zach obtained a Master of Business Administration from Roosevelt University's Chicago School of Real Estate in 2011 with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance. He is actively involved with the Jewish United Fund's Trades, Industries, and Professionals group in the Real Estate division and is also a part of their non-profit leadership training program.

   
Rachel Reinwald

Rachel Reinwald, Commercial Lending Officer

Rachel began her career as an internal auditor at a large community bank in Chicago. She then took advantage of a unique opportunity to live in Spain were she taught English to elementary school students. Rachel joined First Eagle Bank in 2010 as a Credit Analyst. Her passion for finance and customer service compliments First Eagle Bank’s culture. Today she is a Commercial Lending Officer with a steadily growing portfolio.

Rachel graduated with Cum Laude honors from DePaul University Strobel Honors Accounting program in 2007. She obtained dual majors in Accounting and Finance. Rachel is fluent in Spanish..
