In 1998, Maricela began her banking career at First Eagle as a Personal Banker, transitioning to a Teller role in 1999. Demonstrating strong leadership and dedication, she steadily advanced to Assistant Teller Supervisor and ultimately to Teller Supervisor in 2014. During her time in the Teller Department, Maricela expanded her expertise by cross-training in Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions. Over the years, her focus shifted toward BSA and Compliance area, leading to her full transition into the Compliance Department as a BSA and Compliance Associate in 2023. She was recently promoted to BSA and OFAC Officer in 2026.
Hanover Park has been her home since 1997 and loves that she gets to work for a bank that truly cares about this community. She volunteers at the Hanover Park Food Pantry during their Christmas program by walking clients through the intake paperwork and translating for Spanish-speaking families.
